Defrosting meat
SHIPPING
Your order will be delivered within 1–2 business days after purchase. Delivery is handled by DPD Fresh courier service. Products are packed in a special thermal package that helps maintain the proper temperature throughout the entire journey.
The delivered meat may be:
– Frozen (flash-frozen, vacuum-packed)
– Not frozen – fresh or thawed (vacuum-packed)
In some cases, frozen meat may partially thaw during transportation. As long as the product remains cool (below +4 °C), it is safe to consume and can be refrozen.
Non-frozen meat (both fresh and thawed) should be stored in the refrigerator and consumed within 3 days.
Refreezing thawed meat is not recommended.
DEFROST INSTRUCTIONS
Refrigerator method
This is the safest and easiest way to defrost game meat, but it will take some time. Place the meat in the refrigerator at least 24 hours before cooking. Larger cuts may take longer, so plan ahead.
Cold water method
This is the fastest way to defrost game meat, but it requires more attention. Leave the meat in its sealed packaging and immerse it in a bowl of cold water. Change the water every 30 minutes. Smaller pieces of meat (up to 450g) can be defrosted in an hour, while larger pieces can be defrosted in 2-3 hours.
Important: After defrosting, meat should be cooked immediately.
